& I wonder.. If anything could ever feel this good forever

The holidays are rapidly approaching and the snow is about to fall. The cold has begun to slowly creep it's way into our lives and any day now it'll take over with brute force. Don't get me wrong I love the holidays and even the snow-- but I cant help thinking that this great mood of mine can't possibly last forever & it won't!! With work, Christmas shopping, and winter driving I will undoubtedly be forced to deal with more than a handful of holiday humbugs!

Overlooking the negativity of others, reflecting on the past year and thinking about my families thanksgiving tradition of listing what were thankful for i happened to make a nice list. While pondering the list I've found that I have so much to be thankful for. This year, first and foremost I am thankful for my friends and family and all that they have done for me. Not just this year but throughout my entire life. I am a pretty independent person, but I know if I didn't have their listening ears or shoulders to cry on I'd be absolutely lost.

Second, I am so thankful that after all this time I have found happiness. True and utter happiness right from deep within the pits of my soul. For a while I thought it impossible, the impossible dream. But on the contrary it was possible and was there all along it just took a little soul searching to find. Through finding this happiness deep within myself I have learned to appreciate people and life much more than I have in prior years.

I am thankful for my significant other, Isaih. He is genuinely In love with me and greatly contributes to my new found happiness. Every day he gives me a new reason to smile and I fall In love with him more each and every single day. I am thankful for the immense love we share for one another and the wonderful relationship we've built together. I am thankful for the memories we've already made as well as for the ones we have yet to make. I am glad he'll be back In my arms real shortly and I am excited to be able to celebrate the holidays together for the first time ( of hopefully many more to come).

Among these things I am also grateful for my health, my cousin making it through his tour In afghanistan and the fact that he will soon be on his way home, the roof over my head as well as the clothes on my back and the food In my belly....

I tend to over look it because I've had to deal with some hardships In my life but I am truly feeling blessed!!

So what are you thankful for ??
